Born and raised in Elgin County, David’s family has called the St. Thomas area home for six generations. His family operated Goodwin Furniture here for 100 years, until 1970.

David is passionate about area history and has a deep understanding of Elgin–St.Thomas–London South communities. His local roots and career in finance, position him as the best candidate to represent us at this critical time, as our country’s economy and sovereignty is being threatened by external forces.

David will fiercely seek new opportunities and defend local jobs, workers, and small businesses. He will work to reduce the cost of living, help make life more affordable and reduce taxes.

As our Member of Parliament and representative in Ottawa, David will champion our local priorities and fight to bring economic investment that creates new economic opportunities and good jobs. He believes we must strengthen public healthcare, rural internet, and maintain a strong agricultural economy.

David grew up with the values of hard work, helping your neighbours, and appreciating local home-grown food, products and talent. He currently serves on the St. Thomas Heritage Committee and Continuous Improvement Program Committee. He is a former member of the Old St. Thomas Church Restoration Board.
